District-wide Announcements
Wayne Day 2013
Save the date: Wayne Day (www.wayneday.com) will be celebrated on June 9 from 11 AM – 5 PM. Booths, rides, food, and exhibits will be available for all to enjoy. Don’t forget to stop by the Wayne Township Public Schools booth to get a glimpse of what’s happening in our district.

Extended Memorial Day Weekend
Each year emergency days are built into the school calendar for use when bad weather forces a school cancellation. Although we used all of our allotted days during the hurricane this fall, the reinstatement of school on Election Day and for NJEA convention allowed us to recover some of the lost time.
Therefore, two unused emergency days will be added to the Memorial Day Weekend for all schoools as long as we do not need them for some other weather emergency. As indicated on the school calendar, in addition to being closed on Memorial Day, schools will now be closed on the following days: Friday, May 24th and Tuesday, May 28th. Schools will reopen on Wednesday, May 29th.
Best wishes for a safe and enjoyable extended Memorial Day Weekend.
